about

Sophia Massad, having been in the music industry for over 12 years, started this passion project to create her rawest music. Inspired by Alabama Shakes and Amy Winehouse, she is both formidable and poetically honest. After the release of her past two singles, ‘Insecurities’ and ‘Alone at Night’, we have only seen a glimpse of what she has to come.

‘Come Back Home’ features one of Oklahoma’s most well known artists, Chase Kerby. Kerby was a contestant on The Voice, and has been in many bands, including ExWives, Beau Jennings and the Tigers, and Chase Kerby and the Villains. Kerby has the perfect style to compliment Massad’s folk roots.

After a dark and strenuous heartbreak, Massad, transfixed on her muse, sat down at the piano and created Come Back Home, a story of finding the love of her life, then losing him to the chaos and confusion of this world. While still mystified, Massad managed to write the song full of hope, blissful memories, and warmth.

‘Come Back Home’ features Chase Kerby on vocals, Tristan Todd on lead guitar, Ethan Neel on Drums, and Chris Anderson on bass and keys, and was mixed and mastered by Dustin Ragland.

lyrics

LYRICS:

I’ve been waiting all these years for you,
Searched the darkest forest for your love.

You’ve been running from trouble all this time,
well I’ll be yours, if you’ll be mine.

Come back home,
Come back home to me.

Come back home,
Come back home.

In this southern September weather, it’s you and I.
We were made for each other just give it time.

The train will come and it will go,
But for the the the rest of the ride,
Won’t you please be mine.

Come back home,
Come back home to me.
Come back home,
Come back home.

I’ve been dreaming of you lately
Here at home, I’ve been waiting
So please tell me,
You won’t leave me

Wonder through the woods to find heaven
(Shattering my bones)
I am so unsure where I’m headed
(Surrender in my arms)
Only if I could see your eyes again
(Open up my soul)
Would you ever forgive where I have been

Come back home,
Come back home.
